Student Film Makers
Ariel P.
Hi, I'm Ariel P. I'm one of the students working on this film. I play the dog trainer who's searching for Chico and I also handled the more visual aspects of film making and our social medias/advertising.
Outside of school and filmmaking, my hobbies are playing piano and visual arts(painting, drawing and sketching). In terms of piano, I'm currently more focused on learning music theory, rather than playing. In terms of my art, I tend to draw digitally and only on days off in order to maintain focus on my studies. Art and piano playing are very relaxing for me and serve as a productive way for me to express my feelings. I've also began reading a lot more, mostly nonfiction. My friends will call me a nerd because I read nonfiction, but personally, I feel as though the books I read are fascinating. Thanks for checking out our website and don't forget to watch our film on YouTube!
Naliah N.
Hi, I'm Naliah N. I am one of the students working on this film for. I filmed and directed the shots and also maintained the social media and sound for the film. I am also the owner of Chico, the titular dog!
When I'm not doing homework or making films, I like to read fiction novels and write poetry. One of my favorite books is Good Dog by Dan Gemeinhart. This book revealed a lot to me about writing compelling storytelling and character development, especially for dogs. As for poetry, I attend open mics at least once a month and enter local competitions and events to share my poetry. This focus on literature not only helps me with English class, but I have a better sense of storytelling for it. I used those storytelling tips to help write the script and development of Chico's Revenge. You can also see me updating our social medias!
